this was really cool. Conrad’s prose is a bit dense and sometimes it wears a bit thin but generally it’s rewarding. the contrast of this domestic tragedy of sorts playing off against this grand anarchist scheming was fantastic, I thought. also some great descriptions of late 19th century London. cool. also it kinda reminded me of Four Lions and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if David Simon’s read this. was picking up some strong Wire vibes, particularly from the writing about institutions and the police. would recommend. well, bye.
